BLACKENED

From ages past, soiled and blunted
We have been hauled and casted
into shades, darkened shades of humanity
and everything we hold, they have
Everything we mode, they modify
Our minds, truly blackened
Not our intelligence, neither our prudence
We are the omission in our mirror
The zeal always mishandled
The evil planted on doors
Those greed and shared loots
shall flourish in our continuous shame
Maybe we have accepted as they said
Putting us in some inked pages
that the Black man with the black mind
Progress he shall never find
We have being blackened not cursed
for the sake of identity
Neither some discovery in pages burnt
So let's clear history as they wrote
and be truthful and behold
We are made to identify and be identified
A craft of distinction and boldness
As our creation gave
We are blackened, not cursed

A POET HAS WRITTEN

Show me your pen
and he shall show you the level of my ink
Because he has written all the truce, the quick
of politics and war
He would have had his head haunted
But more so he is quick to the gate
He would write through to the ranks
to tell sovereignty of his ignorant intelligence
He would have his feet fast to run
He wouldn't mind the treason and the trouble
his sentimental words could cause
But for the sake of equal dividend
He wrote to tell the untold
The gold-skinned blindfolds
which were used to cover the obvious deceit of the masses
So he picked up the pieces,
his drastically shoved ink
Then he wrote to the chamber
The struggles and slander
of undeserved abysmal suffering
of whispered cries of the people
But before he could be called and slayed
His anonymity went viral
Politics which was suppose to be left to the politician
became a course study for all
As he had written
